switching

Bring your people, your history, and your recurring gifts.

The hard part of leaving a platform is never the software. It is the donors who are mid-pledge and the records you cannot lose.

How a switch actually goes.

1

Export what you have

People, giving history, funds, and recurring schedules. Every platform below can produce these; we tell you exactly which screens to use.

2

We map it with you

Your funds, your tags, your custom fields. Mapping is a conversation, not a file you throw over a wall — and we show you the result before anything is imported.

3

Connect your Stripe

Your own account. If your recurring gifts already run on Stripe, they can often carry across without asking a single donor to re-enter a card.

4

Run both for a month

Keep the old system live while giving flows through Centerly. Nobody has to trust a switch that happens all at once.

5

Turn the old one off

When your books reconcile and your team is comfortable — not before.

Coming from…

From Tithely

Bring people, giving history, funds, and recurring gifts. The usual reason centers leave: percentage fees on top of card processing, and export that feels like a hostage negotiation.

From Breeze

People, tags, and giving come across cleanly. Centers usually move for the classes and the website — Breeze does not try to be either.

From Planning Center

Per-module pricing adds up, and the vocabulary is unmistakably church. Bring People and Giving; Registrations map to Centerly Events.

From LifterLMS or LearnDash

Courses, lessons, and enrollments move into Centerly Learning — and tuition starts settling through the same Stripe account as your giving.

From spreadsheets

More common than anyone admits, and completely fine. A clean CSV is genuinely the easiest migration there is.

From nothing at all

Start with the free giving module and add people as they give. No import, no project, no weekend.

What we will not promise

Not every recurring gift can move without a donor re-authorising it — that depends on which processor the old platform used, and whether it was your Stripe account or theirs. We will tell you which of your gifts are in that category before you commit to anything, not after.

Send us an export and we will tell you what it would take.

No obligation, and an honest answer — including “stay where you are” if that is the right call.
